Cathay Tahoe · Shanghai Courtyard
The project is located in Jiangwan New Town, the last and largest stretch of land in the northeast of central Shanghai available for development in clusters.
Its architectural design is the combination of zeitgeist and art and the integration of local culture and social progress. Modern design approaches are used in conjunction with the characteristics of PC building for constructing square buildings. The houses, disorderly and unevenly arranged, are designed with concise and bright façade and meticulously built as a whole. The variation of spatial modeling methods is attached much attention in the pursuit of the well-balanced contrast and combination of space, light and shadow, color and texture. In the design process individuality is highlighted, and identifiability and sense of community are emphasized. In the meantime, a variety of architectural elements are ingeniously incorporated into the overall architectural style, and the architectural profile and landscape are enriched by bold application of colors and disorder arrangement of buildings in terms of evenness and height.
