The project is positioned as an urban courtyard representative of the appeal of Xixian Central Business District, a hub that links the plots of land under development in the vicinity, a themed site reflecting the ecological, cultural and recreational characteristics of the central business district, the core component of the sponge city under construction, and a brand image of Xixian Central Business District. The design strategy is concentrated on three aspects, i.e. the laying down of an ecological foundation for the sponge city, the design from surface through underground for vertical urban landscaping, and the atmosphere, functional and cultural design for site experience, which covers ecological theater, rainwater garden, artistic sculpture gallery, green slope ecological building construction, recreational restaurant, consumption area, historical and cultural tunnels, waterfall cultural square, rainwater purification illustrative wall, and pro-water cultural square.
