Zhang's Garden, built in 1882, is located at a place in the vicinity of West Nanjing Road, North Maoming Road, and Taixing Road. It was the most famous garden in Shanghai in the late Qing dynasty. The urban area in which Zhang's Garden is located is to be reconstructed in line with the principles of "integrating the pre Zhang's Garden era public space culture and the post Zhang's Garden era alley buildings culture in a balanced way to meet the requirements nowadays" in order to restore and revive Zhang's Garden.
