The project, located in Chahe New Area of Chuzhou, Anhui, is positioned as "a technology hub north of the Yangtze River and a waterfront university town", aiming to build Chuzhou into a core functional area for the urban integration of Chuzhou and Nanjing, a Cutting-edge Industry Park in Wanjiang City Belt, and an emerging city in the Yangtze River Economic Zone. Six complete service functions that meet the production and living requirements are implemented to build a first-class functional system for the new city. Balanced regional development is stressed and the development positioning of the new city is determined in order to make the project the first demonstration zone of Anhui-Nanjing cooperation. Industry-city integration is also stressed, aiming to make arrangement for three pillar industry systems under the guidance of technical service. The project aims to make use of natural resources for constructing a city in line with ecological philosophy and building an urban space image of distinct characteristics by virtue of a green network consisting of multiple ecological corridors. Due attention is paid to the integration with and promotion of Nanjing culture in order to yield a characteristic Nanjing impression in a place other than Nanjing.
