Qinglian Town Demonstration Zone
The design concept stems from the “pursuit of official career” of Confucianism, the “reclusion” of Taoism and the “heroism” of swordsmen. That is, Confucianism, embodied in literary grace and the “Six Arts” (i.e., rites, music, archery, driving a chariot, learning and mathematics), represents the hotel courtyard; immortality, hidden in nature, represents the villa courtyard; swordsmen, romantic and free from inhibition, represents the dining courtyard. The design style is derived from the Tang Dynasty, an era when aesthetics was abounded with the emotions and tendencies of aesthetic subjects; in fact, the early, flourishing, middle and late periods of the Tang Dynasty were all penetrated by the storyline of the concerns and patriotism of men of letters. The design of the demonstration zone has referred to the magnificence, delicacy and grace, as well as round and full modeling, fresh and gorgeous decorations and majestic and splendid presence, of the furniture prevailing in the Tang Dynasty. Following the low-sightline design, the seating habits still include sitting/kneeling on the ground and sitting with both feet dropped down.
