Wujiatang Southeast Asia Custom Street, Kunming
The project is situated on the downtown-Lake Dianchi development axis. It takes full advantages of the resources of the subcenter Wujiaba CBD and the Lake Dianchi Rim tourism zone and Line 2 rail transit to create a new-generation of tourism products that integrate commercial, tourism, cultural, and recreational functions. The planned structure consists of three areas, six clusters, and three systems. Three areas: entrance area, core square area, wetland waterscape area. Six clusters: After a thorough investigation of the architectural style of ASEAN countries, six clusters featuring the architectural style of inland countries like Burma, Laos, Cambodia and coastal countries like Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are planned, and all these clusters reflect a variety of functional forms like catering, recreational and water street etc. Three systems: Pedestrian sightseeing system, battery cart sightseeing system, and waterborne sightseeing system are used to organize the slow and ecological transportation.
