A total of 211 design agencies and developers participated in this year's competition, with 1,136 entries. 58 Gold Awards, 100 Silver Awards, 296 Bronze Awards and Masterpieces Awards were presented; and 40 outstanding urban regeneration works from around the world were listed in the 2nd REARD Urban Regeneration Design Recommendation List.

Located at the foot of Taibai Mountain 5A scenic spot in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, the project is inspired by the prosperous scene of Chang'an City during the Tang Dynasty to create a characteristic Tang style town.

The planning layout follows the design concept of lane system, combining the layout of traditional village street space and the structure of "wide street - small lane - narrow courtyard" to create a new Tang style lifestyle neighborhood space. The project plans four major categories of products: hot spring soup street, hot spring hotel, hot spring inn and low-density soup courtyard with the Tang life scene as the carrier.

The architectural design traces the architectural style of the time from ancient paintings of the Tang Dynasty, extracts Tang-style architectural elements, fuses traditional flying eaves and corners with modern design language, uses beige granular texture materials and wood-colored materials reflecting regional characteristics, and carries out rough materials and fine work, presenting high-quality simple Tang-style products.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Construction and Renovation of Machine Tool Sub-Factory in Sesame Street Bi-innovation Park, Zhengzhou

Silver Award of the 5th REARD Global Real Estate Design Awards

The 2nd REARD Urban Renewal Design Recommendation List

The old factory has a history of 60 years, and the transformation goal is to be a model benchmark for industrial upgrading of industrial stock in the Central Plains, and a cultural landmark for the integration of industrial cultural heritage into urban renewal.

The old factory building is mainly characterized by "large boxes", and most of the buildings are from the 1950s and 1960s, and the original red brick and green brick walls have very good historical and aesthetic values. The principle of our renovation design is to retain this temperature - to intervene carefully in the original form and to continue the features of the old factory building.

The design respects the image and structure of the existing factory façade and preserves the historical memory of the factory as much as possible. The white plaster covering the surface of the walls was knocked out to reveal the original red brick texture. Some of the buildings that are no longer suitable for modern life are demolished, while the new buildings adopt transparent glass curtain walls and gray undecorated walls to blend into the old buildings with a low-profile and unobtrusive attitude, the "old" red brick and cement with the "new" glass curtain walls, achieving the ideal state of harmonious integration of the old and the new. The "old" of red brick and concrete with the "new" of glass curtain wall
